The Human Rights Law Network (HRLN), the Indian Women Press Corps, the Delhi Union of Journalists, the Press Club of India and the Mumbai Press Club invite you to participate and speak at the National Consultation on Media Freedom and the Law on 8^th and 9^th August, 2015 at the Press Club of India at 1, Raisina Road, New Delhi.

Participants in this Consultation will discuss the many ways in which journalists are coming under attack from physical assaults, sexual harassment and criminal defamation cases to the victimization of employees.  Participants will also consider appropriate response to this attack on press freedom including legal measures that could be taken to protect journalists.  These will include solidarity actions and mobilization.
